Looking for Marc Jacobs 2012 Summer/ Spring collection? Well, join the fashion masses because the designer’s entire collection has gone missing!
An email was sent out earlier today that left the entire fashion industry with jaws agape. The email alerted them that the entire line, all 46 ORIGINAL SAMPLE designs of the Spring/Summer 2012 looks, have gone missing! Marc Jacobs’ entire spring/ summer 2012 collection was stolen from a train in France, according to the American designer’s public relations.
“Dear all,” the press release read. “ The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris.”
Fashion critics are grumbling that these sought-after samples are likely headed toward the laps of counterfeiters and makers of second-hand knockoffs.
In 2007, burglars stole Christopher Kane’s entire spring/summer 2008 collection from his East End studio days before his London Fashion Week show, according to Elle UK. In 2009, a £350,000 ($552,000) 75 Victoria Beckham frocks were swiped en route to a Neiman Marcus in New York.
Marc Jacobs must have his kilt in a bundle awaiting word for where the garments could be. All we know is that if the missing clothing pops up via a hilarious Twitter account like the Bronx Zoo’s missing Cobra did this summer, we will be one of the first followers!
All jokes aside, we really hope that Jacobs’ line shows up sooner than later — those looks are a necessity for spring!
